I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this game yet (well, at least not in the thread title)

Just wondering your thoughts if you have played/own, especially if you have played online.

I bought this game about 3 weeks ago. 50$ us seems pretty standard at most places (maybe 45 at walmart). It runs on my laptop pretty well 85% of the time, sometimes it lags and I'm sure graphics are a lot better but works with whatever vid card I got on my Vaio.

For those of you familiar with Diablo II (those of you who aren't can burn in hell :D ) it is very similar. Different character classes, RPG like game. You can be Templar (Gaurdian and blademaster classes, weilding swords and shields and have auras and such), Spellcaster type (Evokers (like sorcerors/ress depending on sex), and Summoners), and Hunters (Marksman or Engineer).

Randomy generated maps for about 80% of the game, similar monster generators (including unique/rare/legendary) with mods like sparking, cursed, diseased etc., Randomly generated item drops based on class, level, monster lvl etc. And item qualities (basic, enhanced, rare, legendary, and unique).

You can set it to 3rd person or 1st person with the roll of the mouse, instead of bows and arrows for hunters you get machine guns and rocket launchers, the evokers use "focus items" which are like magic gloves with tentacles that let them cast spells. It is set in the year 2038, earth was invaded by the forces of hell and won, starting the decades long "burn", humans hid in the london underground built by freemasons to protect us from them with spells and tactics of the arcaine teachings. There is crafting, trading, pvp, team play and it's pretty customizable. If you want to spend 10$ a month I think you get new char classes/items/areas/monsters etc.

Great game, I am pretty addicted, I keep getting to like lvl 10 and restarting because I become unhappy with my char...downsides is sometimes it gets repetitious. They have a new patch or maybe its an expansion with a new outdoorie area called "stonehenge", self explanatory. I would love to play online but I am tapping into neighbors wireless, have to wait for my PC to get here to me :(

Let me know how online is and you should buy this game!!

I'm thinking about getting but i don't know if my comp will run it, it plays daiblo easy.

I tried it but did not like. I was expecting a FPS with role-playing aspects but found the aiming to be solely based on character skill. Nothing wrong with this but I was looking forward to playing a FPS.

I thought it looked pretty cool, but I would still rather just play Diablo II: Lord Of Destruction.
