To a game that by all accounts should not be addictive,
Minecraft.
The game is that you dig virtual dirt/stone cubes, and then if you want, you can build stuff, only real danger is at night some nasty critters come out, so you build yourself a safe house with a a door and a few torches
Yet, I found myself spending 4 hours digging a strip mine, then covered it with glass and building a castle over it.
It shouldn't be addictive, but it very much.
Though as a note, apparently the server is having some issues last day or two...
