I'm in the same situation, and I'm currently weighing the names Romulus and Cicero - Romulus being my favourite thus far (perhaps because that was the name, I came up with )

Unfortunately, it seems to be a disadvantage having a dog named something with more than two syllables.

some would call a feline predator a cat.
examples include - Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Cougars, Lynx and even that most common house cat.
