Help Please!!!!!!

I have read alot of threads on here about not being able to play multiplayer. I have setup an account on gamespyid.com but when I try to access the multiplayer games in civ, I'm given the error :

"the connection to the game browsing server has failed"

I have checked all my firewalls and civ's an exception, I've made sure popup blocker's not running etc butI'm still getting this error.

I really want to get online!

Nope, on normal 2MB broadband

try downkiading the latsest patch that usslay helps casue the same thing happens to me when i try to create an account on splinter cell choas theory

Im also having this problem, get exactly the same error. Not under a router. I know gamespy works cos use it for other games. I have installed latest patch
