Help with civ4 please :)

Im trying to play civ4 online. When i go internet games than created account i put in my pw, login and email but than the screen just freezes for a few secs than nothing is it ment to came up with account created of something?. i tried just going back and than into login but after i put in my login and pw it just freezes for a few sec and than nothing again.

Yes, i have exactly the same problem. After creating an account on GameSpy successfully i am trying to log in into the internet game and well, as you said - nothing happens. I log in my login name and password then click on ok button but absolutely nothing happens. I don't use firewall, so i don't really have an idea what's wrong. Could anyone help ,please??!

This happens to me when I upgrade my firewall and forget to check that Civ IV is still in the 'trusted zone.'

Make sure the game has permission to access the Web and that the Web has permission to access the game and then reopen and try setting up your account or logging in again.

I've no software firewall, just a router. What ports do I need to forward to get the game working?
