Help?

yea....ive fallen back onto the planet....

umm...i finally managed to find alien crossfire last night, but whenever I try to start a game i get this:

TERRANX.ICD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program.

I've tried every damned thing i can think to do and it still crashes the game....anybody had this before and/or know how to fix it?

I don't recall that particular message, but it would help to post your CPU specs and Operating System info.

Stupid question: Did you install vanilla AC first?

I never was able to get AC to run on my old machine that had Win2k on it. I recently installed and ran it on WinXP Pro, but I had to make some minor INI settings changes to get it to run.

I'm sure you've probably already looked, but I'd recommend the official web site for some tech support. Other than that, I'm afraid I don't have much help to offer. Sorry.

I have the CD that came with both the first game and the expo.

And i've installed the three patches, the one for win2k/xp, ACx2.0, and AC4.0

if you still aren't able to run SMACX, maybe you need the compatibility patch, which you can find here:

Maybe you should change

ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=0
into
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1
