Please help me.... I have been on the forums for hours now and I just dont understand exactly what to do to solve my problem. It appears that other civ3'ers have encountered the same annoying S**T. My civ 3 play the world runs okay but the game screen is about twice the size of my laptop screen. This means annoying and uneccessary scrolling at times when I should be irrigating some flood plains or whatever. Basically my enjoyment of what I percieve to be a great game is being ruined by this pathetic problem. I have tried altering my resolution from its current 800x600 to the other options but my screen is always too small for the game data. Many apologies for sounding rather negative but I am at the end of a long day and just wanna have some fun....help

The smallest supported resolution by Civ III is 1024*768. That means that unless you can get your laptops display up to at least 1024*768 you will continue to have this problem.

To change the resolution right-click anywhere on the desktop where there isn't an icon and and select properties. In the window that brings up select settings and use the slider bar under the heading "Screen Resolution" to modify the screen size to at least 1024*768.

Thanks for the reply buddy. I have tried that about 200 times and I have concluded that my laptop is unable to support this resolution or the screen is too small. Oh well no more civ 3 for me... the shop has happliy performed a refund and I have purchased pro evo 3 instead. Just a note to infogrames/ firaxis you have excluded me from the party just because I am different to all the others that is computerism and you will be hearing from my lawyers soon.......

LOL - yeah, that's the spirit - blame Firaxis for your crummy hardware. I think I'll go sue Bioware because my Graphics Adapter doesn't do Transform & Lighting, so I can't buy Knights of the Old Republic.... :crazyeye:
