Help!

I recently bought a copy of Conquests and want to play Multiplayer with a friend who has Civ 3 Gold. We've tried connecting through the game, but whenever we go into the lobby, I can't see the game he's hosting, no matter how many times I refresh. We've also tried direct IP but that doesn't seem to work either. Please help?

you most have the same version!! you cant play against a player ho has a diffrent version! like if he got civ3 gold you most have civ3 gold!!!

Check that you/has firewall turned off, if any of yous are using a router, then you need to foward the ports (check the readme for what ports to foward). That should get it going, and also u need same version to play.

But you see, both Civ 3 Gold and Conquests have play the world included. Doesn't that count for anything? And I'll ask him about the firewall. Thanks

No you have to have PTW vs PTW (correct patches too) or Conquests vs Conquests

Can't mix.
