So i'm a newly registrated mamber, i have newer known that there is still lowers of such game like civ2. I started playing from when it apperred in Lithuania, i played all it's versions call to power I,II civ3 its expansions. but civ2 is the best i think. the only weekness of this game silly AI

but i see it can be played in multiplayer, are often playing it online?
and as i know if i want to play it online i should have original wersion of civ2. i have some cd of this game but it's half english, half russian.

maybe some1 could tell where to download a good version, cos to order it on internet cost ...

Personally I've never played it online, but who knows...

If you have the "classic/2.42" version you can use Cedric Greene's upgrade site to patch it to the Multiplayer version. The downloadable patch checks to verify you have a valid version installed, but does not seem to check the CD. Make a backup copy of your /CIV2 folder before you run it, just in case.

ye i've read how to make it multiplayer and gold edition, just i wanted to know where to get the original version civ2 classic, cos the civ2 that i have is russian version, and i can not upgrade it to gold version or MGE
