Hi everyone

I just got PTW and I have some questions about the
regicide victory condition.

I played my second game as the Celts and there are two big islands.
I destroyed the Russians and Germans on my island but
am really behind the other civs due to lack
of communication in the
ancient era.

My first question is do I have to worry about the other civs
winning by say Spaceship?

My second question is whether any of you can give me some tips
to catch up in the tech race. I am about 5-6 techs behind and
the AI is asking very unreasonable trades for them.

1. Depends. How far has the game progressed? Are they well into the modern era? If they're pretty far into the modern era, and your pretty far behind, you might want to start worrying.

2. Try to lower your research rate to 0% and just rake in the cash, and buy the techs for whatever they ask. You could also try going to war and extorting the tech from them after taking a couple of cities (of course, if you are not THAT far in tech that you have a huge disadvantage militaristicly).

Thanks for your reply DiamondzAndGunz.

I am at the start of the Industrial Age with 13 turns to go until
Steam Power.

I am not worried too much about war since I pretty much control
all of the island that I am in except a few cities they founded.
Nothing larger than size 3.

The war I had with the russions and germans set me back quite
a bit and I am catching up with culture etc...

I will try setting my research rate to 0%.
