So, I reinstalled civ IV and beyond the sword on my laptop. Everything works fine except when I set hide movie background=0 in the ini it doesnt save the setting. When I go to play and meet a leader it still hides the background. Any ideas?? I would hate to do a complete reinstall as it takes too long.

Are you sure you have edited the correct ini file? Make sure you edited the one in the Beyond the Sword folder - not the general Civilization IV folder.
