i think modders like Gedemon have done a really good job with the historical spawn dates and accurate maps etc. It's really coming along. What would really help with the historical accuracy would be the use of settler maps. Cities could have correct geographical names and civs would be prone to settling in lands they really did settle (e.g. Portugal would be likely to settle in the eastern part of South America and Songhai would not be likely to settle there). It could also dramatically decrease turn times in big maps due to civs like Persia and Russia not expanding as much as before and having fewer cities. Rhye used it and it worked really well. It could also be used in non TSL maps so that a certain civ would be more likely to settle jungle tiles for example, like the start bias.
i am really not so experienced with LUA scripts but is it possible, or is it just something not for Civ V? If anybody would try it out i would be excited to help.
