I watch the History Channel occasionally, and I haven't noticed anything biased about it (besides the fact that it's very pro- american)

I’ve seen some of their (History Channel) programs. Some is very patriotic and nationalistic. It’s sometimes not a question of dealing with the facts but a question of making one side look good. Clearly right wing after what I’ve seen. I don’t trust them one bit.

PBS seems to be a nice channel. They have a show called “Frontline” that’s seems to be good. I’ve seen some of their documentaries and they have been great.

The History Channel on the whole isn't biased.

Certainly not in the distribution of subject matter. They have everything from military hardware "wow that's cool" shows, to their miniseries on the First Persian Gulf War, to "Military Blunders" (in which the U.S. features fairly often) to analysis of how the Twin Towers collapsed after being hit by a pair of planes (in which political commentary was left out completely), to "The History of Sex".

Individual programs can lean to the left or right, depending on who wrote them and whether or not the leanings got caught and snipped in final editing. How many programs lean in which direction? That depends on how you do the counting.... :)

As you can clearly see from this screenshot..

the History Channel Always shows the right wing point of view.

Off course I can't watch the history channel over here, but whenever I click on a link that's occasionally been provided, I find them a. accurate b. interesting c. USAmerican. But imo one can't really blame them. Or would I blame my teachers for talking too much on Austrian history and not enough about, for example, Sudan? Definitely not. And with the deteriorating school system in the US the history channel is definitely an institution that tries to swim up river.

Maybe Slate is biased?

Edit:Yep, it's definately biased. I just checked the main page, and the top story is named "Kerry Closes the Deal", with a huge pic of Kerry bordering cult of personality.

This site is clearly left-biased, so there is no reason to take what they say very seriously.

lol. It seems every witty and intelligent commentary sooner or later gets labelled "liberal" or "left wing". Sure they have a lot of writers favouring Kerry which is probably not representative of the public. But it's a good read. (I still remember when everyone feared that they'd lose their bite once they're taken over by Microsoft :) )
