HOF 2.31 'Errors found with HOF mod'?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had solved this problem yet.

The HOF 2.31 loads, and appears in the upper right. The game is patched to 2.31, but when I load a save file it says 'The save file you have selected is encrypted to ensure that the assets have not been changed' and then 'load failed' and it exits. Civ4Assets checker gives:

I downloaded the HOF mod several times, both from civfanatics and the main website but i still get the error. I also get the same error with two completely different fresh installs on two different computers. One of which never had Civ4 on it before, so it can't be just me.

Sorry if this is a stupid question and it's been answered, but i couldn't find anything.

It's telling you that you've modified the game files in some form, so you'll have to change back to the original game files, or reinstall the game from the CD to be able to load the game.

I found on page 66ish of the support thread that gold edition doesn't work and gives you this error.

However, It sounds like you can fix this by replacing the gold edition assets folders and files with the regular assets folders and files, so i'm going to try to compare the two and figure out what the difference is, then i just need to replace/remove the different files.

At least the exe's are the same, the no cd crack works for gold edition.

I found an original version of the game and warlords, did fresh installs, still gives me the same error.

Could you run the assetchecker against your current install, save the data and e-mail it to hof.civfanatics@gmail.com? I'll take a look.
