HOF Questions & Answers

Well probably that's why I don't understand it, because I always push the 'wait one more turn' so I can save the game for HoF and then just exit the game so I never see the in-game Hall of Fame

Indeed for that game the in-game HoF lists 2754.
However for a different game HoF shows me 6750 score, and in-game it's 3350 so it still doesn't match the in-game HoF

Attached the image for this too:

Btw it has nothing to do with 'not being checked yet', I have many more examples of accepted games too, the scores just don't seem to match

Are those that are not right domination games?

Sorry I don't understand the question

I have one more question: the rules say to keep the savegames in case they are requested by HoF staff, but the autosaves keep overwriting themselves as far as I see so that means that after each game we should save the autosaves in a different place?

No problem, I'll try to explain better.
What are the winning conditions of the games with a wrong score?
I suspect that they are domination games.

When you submit a score and you play another game before it is verified, you have to remove the auto save files to another location. So that they won't overwrite themselves.

Yes, they're quick duel domination games

I'm playing a game on a Huge map, so its taking a while. It seems I can't prevent Steam from updating Civ V. Assuming my saved game is still playable, is there any problem with submitting the game to HOF, since it will be played with two versions?

No, as long as you start with the latest version (at that time), the game will be all right.

Are the new DLC Wonders banned? The rules as written don't forbid their use, but it would seem to be within the spirit of the rules to exclude them.

No, those can't be used for the same reason the other DLC can't. Comparibility. Only free DLC at this point.

How are the medals and points calculated in the Veni Vidi Vici?

It seems to count all the submissions, even those played under exactly the same conditions and it assigns them medals

Anyway they are calculated very differently than they are in the tables or in the Summary Tab

And somehow I submitted 78 total games and I have 79 medals

In the VVV, they count medals from score and date.

The VVV medals for a player should match the medals shown on the Summary tab of the Main page for both Dates and Scores. You have 4G-24S-27B (55) medals for date tables and 0G-5S-19B (24) medals for score tables. There are a lot of tables with Civ5 HOF. The more people that participate the more medals that get unlocked.

OK, I'm playing on a Huge Map, Marathon speed. I just went past 2000AD, turn 1201, and didn't get a victory screen. I thought from previous messages in this thread that 1200 turns was the end of marathon games? I did have one crash turn 1189 as I was starting to change all city focus to food and production to research. I had one more city I was going to take to eliminate Askia, Elizabeth and Washington were both down to 1 city, not their capital. Genghis Khan was down to his capital which I had liberated for him. I'm not sure if the crash is effecting the end of the game or not.

Am I wrong as to when the game should end? Any suggestion on what to do?

Edit: I've looked at another thread and it states that the number of turns in a Marathon game is 1800, not 1200. If this is so, why is it suggested than we change the number of auto saves to 1200 ?

Marathon is truely mindboggling :) I'm struggling to get through an epic game. I guess it is at 1200 because nobody has previously gone that far :) You are like polar explorer.
