The Don
My nearly 10 year (Where the heck does time go?)old gaming PC has not been well for a while. While I AM getting a new PC soon I would like to know some general advice for keeping it running smoother until I do so for less stress. I have the following
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
AMD Ryzen 7 1700
RAM
32.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1064MHz (15-15-15-36)
Motherboard
ASRock AB350M Pro4 (AM4)
Graphics
Acer VG240Y (1920x1080@75Hz)
8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (MSI)
Storage
223GB TEAML5Lite3D240G (SATA (SSD))
7452GB Seagate ST8000DM004-2CX188 (SATA)
My PC is very old and I run it for hours on end every day. Sometimes I leave it on overnight. I have had many issues with it. From my PC stopping being able to play videos or sound fixed with a simple reboot to file explorer working slow. I used CCleaner Pro on it. Seems to be working better now. It recently took a lot longer the normal to get past the motherboard screen. Does all this combined sound like aging hardware due to heavy use? I basically live in front of my PC. I spend much of my time in front of it. Also how can I reduce this problems until my new one is ready?
Sorry for the multi layed post
