Hoping for C3C PBEM game

I didn't expect the Persians to be such sissies...hiding on their boats...

Persia? Sissies? Hmmm, last we checked, Persia hadn't abandoned any cities yet. Don't you worry, the Celts will get a crack at my sailing army. :hammer:

Just because I don't want them to be infested by Persian creeps and it was impossible to defend it succesfully...

:bump: why is the game so slow lately?

Why don't you resend your last turn to VikingRuler? Maybe it will wake him up. Or maybe he's on vacation or something. The last save I forwarded on was on the 19th - 157d, 420AD. You posted after that. I haven't received anything from VikingRuler since then.

GPS to vikingruler...

The western stack of the Persian troops is no more...

My army killed the two musketmen and my Gallic swords and ME took care of the four Immortals. During that battle 1 Gallic Sword and one ME suffered a tragic defeat...

Persia's initial landings did not go so well. The western troops slaughter fired up the eastern troops, but the Celtic forces held strong at Camulodunum. Two immortals only slightly damaged the defending pikes while suffering defeat. The rest of the Persian forces will regather while reinforcements from the mainland prepare to assist.

The Celts should enjoy their small victories while they can... :hammer:

Three Iroquois cities remained. Three bastions of backwardness. It was time to see if they would hold out. The battles of annihilation were about to begin...

Turn160-VRSalamancab.jpg

The final of the twelve Regenthorse brigades enters the ancient Iroquois capital of Salamanca. Dividing his brigade up into its three divisions, the general achieves the Premier’s objectives. The third division is responsible for the slaughter of one-third of the native population. The second wipes out any remaining resistance. The first division has the most important goal: capture the Iroquois chief, vikingruler. As they approach the capitol building, a chariot frantically runs away from the back entrance. The lieutenant and his two guards charge towards it. The lieutenant hacks away the chariot’s guardians, while the two guards dispatch the horses, causing the chariot to tumble into a ditch. The passenger crawls out of the wreckage, unable to stand. The lieutenant dismounts his white horse and draws his sword. “Mr. vikingruler,” he states, “I am here to deliver a message from our mutual ruler.” And with that, he drives his sword into the chief’s heart.

The Iroquois civilization is over.

vikingruler, all role-playing aside, I genuinely wish you a good game and would be honored to shake your hand. You made this game truly interesting and you kept sending the save, even when things weren't looking too bright for you. Hell, you started this game over fifteen months ago. Without you, we wouldn't be here today, posting in this thread. I hope to play with you in the future, hopefully on much happier terms. :)

If you're curious as to my side of the game, vikingruler, I'd like you to read my spoiler thread at Civ III Duel Zone. You'll see my empire from day one, through screenies and text. I just ask you keep the information to yourself, and not share it with Calis nor SpikeIt. If you'd like to, register there and post in the thread (you don't need to register to read it, though). I will be happy to answer any questions/comments/etc. you have there. :)

Spoiler vikingruler only! :
Calis, SpikeIt, I'm serious. Please do not click this link:

Here's to a great game, vikingruler!
RegentMan
Premier of Regentia, Governor and Lord Protectorate of the Iroquois Nation, and Punisher and Dictator of Celtia

Turn 160 played and sent.

I definately agree to RegentMan and thank you for the game vikingruler.

As I soon will follow(which is also besides role-playing, as the celts will beat the guts out of the Persians and the Regents :) ), I would like to propose another PBEM game. As I am not really a fan of CivIV, I am steadily looking for new C3C PBEMs. I already joined some as replacement, but it is not the same as playing your own from the beginning...

So guys: What do you say?

Well, it was fun playing and I had a good time in my first PBEM. Good luck to all of you.

BTW, Calis give em' hell:devil::ar15:

Hey Calis. Can you please PM me your e-mail? We aren't exchanging saves now, but I'll need it later in the game. Thanks! I have everyone else's e-mail at this point.

Now that was one of your first posts in this thread. Now I need yours :D Please PM me as I already played the turn...

@Regentman: The conditions are subject to discussion.

My oppinion is that more human players would slow down the pace too much. But we could add an AI or three...and put the difficulty to Monarch or Emporer...I would prefer a map that is a little bit larger...I am not sure about yours, but the continent I shared with vikingruler is rather small...
