I use hotmail have a decent original name without numbers in it.
Also i get like no spam and if i do it just goes to my junk mail box which i dotn care and it automatically gets deleted and i dont ever get porn maybe thats because i dotn go on porno sites so maybe you should stop going on porn sites then if your fed up with the amount of porn you get

I only use hotmail for MSN messenger, though alot of people with whom I chat with on Messenger don't have my 'email email address' so I have to check my hotmail address too. It used to get alot of spam but I set the spam filter on and I've only gotten one spam in my inbox since (Y)
I use GMX.net, it is great - the only problem is that it's in German

1. I don't go to porno sites. 2. I certainly don't give them an e-mail address. 3. I only have hotmail accounts for MSN Messenger

You can get around that. Lucky Dragon said she went to Passport.com and registered a Passport using her netscape address instead of hotmail and can use it for msn messenger. I did the same and left my box to be shut down in 90 days.

I've had my non-spam hotmail address for over a year now, got the name I wanted(no numbers), and I get more junk that has that stupid little butterfly by it than I do from other places. I'm actually pretty happy at how little spam I get. I don't even have filters set yet.

I use my hotmail account for everything except financial transactions. Those go through a totally private doman.
The spam has never bothered me at all. I also have a couple of e-mail addresses as backups in case my hotmail one goes belly up - and they NEVER have spam in them.

Had hotmail for the best part of 4 years. It's spammy, but not too bad, and the junk mail filter does catch most of it.
J- I've had Juno for a couple of months, and have yet to have ANY spam. Perhaps because I'm really just using them as a cheapo ISP?

I've used Hotmail for something like 5 years now and I do get some spam. I think it has something to do with things you signed up to or others signed you up to: like ezboards and "free" card sites and stuff like that. They make money out of selling email-adresses so I guess that's what they have done with my email-adress....

I used Hotmail once, but the account got deactivated, as I never checked. Now I use Scandinavian Online. Never got any spam until recently. I know many fellow CivFanatics have received the same types of mail. This is my third btw.

There's a site I visited a while back, which lists all these scams, and has people who responded to them, pretending to be taken in. Amusing in parts.

I have been using a hotmail account for four years now and get about 5 spam mails a week. The only thing about Hotmail that slightly bothers me is the size limit on attached files.
