Hotseat Bugs

Hi people.
I'm playing BTS with my girlfriend at a low level to get a feel of the new features and I ran into a few bugs for the moment.

- Hotseat
- 2 players
- Small Islands
- Tiny Islands

- Player 1: Diana (Willem van Oranje)
- Player 2: Luc (Suleiman)
- AI 1: Joao II
- AI 2: Louis
- AI 3: Isabella


Bug #1: Hanging Gardens only added +1 population to the city it was built in, not in any of the other cities.

How to Reproduce:
- Player 2 constructs the Hanging Gardens (save + picture 1)
- End turn (player 2)
- End turn (player 1)
- Player 2 finalises the Hanging Gardens (picture 2)
- Notice that only the city it was built in has received the bonus +1 population.


Bug #2: See Screenshot 3.
The Glance Foreign Advisor page is off for Player 2... the columns of Player 1 overlap with the row values. The Glance for Player 1 is fine. It's only a multiplayer bug most likely.


I have some issues with Espionage Points as well, but since I do not know how those points work yet I will not list them here as bugs. If someone can link me to a thread which details the workings of espionage (especially how passive points should work), I'll have a check to see whether it's correct or not.

EDIT: The Hanging Gardens work fine in single player. No Glance issues in Single player either

Espionage Bug same game.

Bug displayed with Isabelle, but also prominent with the other AIs. Single Player game seems to be okay, but I am uncertain as to whether it is always working properly.

I'm pretty certain that the values should be interpreted as following:
- I have 175 espionage points, Isabella has 160 espionage points.
- I gain +4EP per turn
- I have need of 63 EP to see her demographics (I can see her demographics)
- I have need of 159 EP to see what she researches (I do not see that and she is not in anarchy. Check the already uploaded save for other Espionage weirdnesses.

Bug: The required amount of espionage points for the passive effects does not seem to be correct. I have played further to see whether I need to have the cumulative amount of espionage points, but that is not the case either (and that would have been a stupid concept anyway).

Either it's a bug, or I seriously do not understand Espionage.... or it just works very strangely in hotseat games.

Surely someone can confirm these bugs, or does noone care about hotseat games? I have after all added some screenshots and a save right before it happens.
 
Well, since noone seems to want to confirm these things for me I've sent these bugs to the Firaxis website. I hope they can do something about these flaws.
 
I have also noticed this. It said I need X amout to see other players current research, but on the main screen it did not show the tech name next to the player scores.

I haven't noticed it on single player as I don't play many games alone, but it seems to happen in almost all of our hotseat games.

At least that means we're not suffering from an isolated occurrence. I've played a couple of single palyer games but there espionage works fine for the player. I do wonder if it works correctly for the AI in single player though.

Have you ever seen the strange thing happen with the Hanging Gardens where you only get +1 population in the city you built it in?

My gut would tell me that it would work ok for the AI as my experience has shown that most MP problems don't generally transfer into AI problems, but you never know as a math mistake could translate across the board to all players. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next patch.

As for the hanging garden glitch, I don't know, I play on the higher diff levels and getting a wonder before the AI is a rare occerance. If I get some free time from work today I'll see if I can't run some test games and check it out. :)

I tried it again in my recent game and again, The Hanging Gardens don't work as they are supposed to.
 
It is now almost 1 week after the last post and almost 3 weeks after the posting of the thread and still no moderator or bugfixer has confirmed or disproven this.
