No Aussie or Kiwi talk show host would ever call a young woman a slut and a prostitute.
Hey, they may think it but saying it is guaranteed to get their teeth knocked down their throat by a father, brother, etc etc etc.

It is surprising that Limbaugh gets away with what he says without GBH being committed on him, and I would doubt if any Aus or Kiwi jury would convict a person for dishing out some bush justice when it comes to someone like Limbaugh

Are you trying to say that Aussies and Kiwis are less sexist than Americans, or that they're exactly as sexist, but are also incredibly violent into the bargain, which encourages them to keep their mouths shut about each other?

It's really not clear.

Often I don't understand what the hell you are on about , but when you bring out your "A" game , it really is a thing to behold :goodjob:

I would also like to add , we would never name one of our children "Rush"

You clearly have never listened to The Rock.

I took it to mean their political commentators don't engage in ad hominem attacks/namecalling/food fight rhetoric.

Apparently they don't do that because Australia and New Zealand are backward regressive countries where slights against family honor must be repaid in blood retribution. No one says mean and personal things about others because they will certainly be targeted for violence.

Does Otago mean this to be positive? Or is he making a critical comment about the [apparent] petty violent nature of that part of the world?

Certainly he can't be saying that it's a bad thing for society when people aren't violently assaulted because they say mean things. Or can he? Hmmm.

Stan Zemanek might have done it. Kyle Sandilands would certainly have no qualms. I could even see Ray Hadley doing it.

Alan Jones is probably too much of an uptight prig to unleash in such a manner.
