How can I get rid of the hatred

The second a politician bothers you is the second politics are too prominent in your life.
I really don't see the connection. It doesn't matter if I'm political or apolotical I aml Kofi is just gonna keep on marching over to my place eating all my snacks and leaving a mess in my sink.

FriendlyFire made a good point. What he's trying to say is that you've been harboring this hate for so long that you begin to alienate your friends, and distant yourself from who you really are. Bush is a great president. You just have to look for the good instead of the bad.

Are you sure that is what he was trying to say?

I am wondering how does one get rid of the hatred, especialy against Bush.

First of all, I'll mention I've only read your post, so what I'm saying may well have been said already. Nonetheless, I think it's important to recognize that "hatred", so far as I can tell, is a very common thing (at least in my experience). Though it is admirable that you wish to rid yourself of it, I don't know that such a goal is practical. What I do suggest, however, is that hatred and anger are often linked. A valuable exercise may be to try to recognize when you find yourself angry and acknowledge that fact. Trying to "get rid of it" will not work well, IMO. To my mind, anyway, it sounds more likely to cause denial and ultimately build it. So I think it is important to remember that you are already a complete human being, and such "negative" feelings are a part of that fact. When you find yourself angry or hating, notice the feeling and determine why you feel that way as best you can. Consider your response and whether or not it is appropriate or whether it is based on the anger and hatred. If it is, your actions will likely be counter-productive and ultimately produce more anger and more hatred. In short, forgive yourself.

You, my friend, have yet to receive a sufficient quantity of cynicism. :p

Well, the only decent reason why one should get rid of its hatred is simply that it's properly useless.

Seriously what's the point about being obsessed in hating someone ? This only hurts you even more. The better thing to get a more positive life, and feel better, is simply to move on.
