How Do I Get My Score Higher?

Recently I've actually started winning games in Civ 4 Warlords but I can't get my score very high. Can someone show me the point value system or tips to get it up?

Finishing earlier will get you more points (i assume you mean end game score)
or larger population or more techs. Actually read this thread

play a 1v1 on deity/pangea and rush with qechua for example.

As a relative noobie myself, I can attest that the 1v1 "rush the AI on a duel-sized map" strategy works well I just played a 1v1 on emperor as the romans and won with very little trouble, thought, or strategy. It's really quite straightforward.

however islands also count as part of the total land mass in the game.

you could have all the contintental land in sight and still have less than half of the total land due to islands. the lack of control of islands can prevent a domination victory.

in my own experience having a high pop in your cities counts a lot in game score.
