How do I ignore enemy unit movement, to speed up time between turns?

In the mid game, when jails and security bureaus and intelligence agencies start appearing, my espoinage levels increase such that the fog of war is removed from many AI cities.

This drastically slows down the waiting time after I click "end turn", because the game wants to show me the movement of every AI worker and unit. This can be dozens, or hundreds of individual movements, and dozens of seconds of waiting.

I have Bug and Bull.

So, how do I toggle the game to show/hide AI movements?

check your options screen. Make sure "Show Friendly Moves" and "Show Enemy Moves" is unchecked. It should have been by default anyway.

Also, I recommend using the Quick Combat options.

It's a great shame a) that the AI "twitches" and b) that the interface shows it to you. I'd gladly put up with the time it took to show enemy moves... if it didn't mean watching some unit which, one assumes, really likes trains come buzzing out of the same city and back in again three times, turn after turn... unit after unit.

Some times I do this with workers...esp after global warming...
