How do I log out?

How do I log out? Is it even possible.

The reason I am asking is that I sometimes don't get my e-mail notifications and I think I figured out why: If I exit civfanatics it still considers me logged in up and until an hour after I left the site. And while I am logged in I don't receive e-mail notifications.

Is what I figured out correct?

You get e-mail notifications even if you are logged in me thinks (Don't know for sure, as I don't use them )

To log-out, go to the main page, and there should be a "log-out" link next to your name.

Yeah like at the very bottom of the page under the pm box on the forum index page there are three links logout|mark forums read| and somthin else
Tooo many people reply to threads for me to use that email notification.

There's also clearing your cookies...

Very easy:

Click on "Post Reply" as if you're posting. But instead of doing that, by the "Logged in user" part, you click on Logout, and it instantly clears your cookies.

I'm not sure whether logging out works in tapping e-mail notifications, but I'm giving it a shot if it turns my notifications back on.

Although I believe that most members never ever log out as you automatically log out when you leave the iste so there is no need unless you want to log in for some reason. Possibly if you had a DL but they are not allowed...

What is a DL?

Double login. It means you have set up a second username to post here. That's against the site rules and will bring down heavy penalties on you, if you're found out.
