Does anyone know how to make a tax man? I'm losing lots of money here. My game didn't come with a manual, it was part of a game pack. Thanks for the help.

Easy mate, if you've got a mouse, click on him (after a certain number of citizens only though). If not, press either '1' or F1, can't remember which, and then, 2,3,4 etc for the rest of them.
My game didn't come with a manual either, and it really gets on my nerves because the copy-protect still comes on and wipes out my game if I don't look at such-and-such a page.

You can assign special citizens when your city's population is >= 5.
Are you talking about civ1? Civ2 doesn't have copy protection pop-ups.

what you do is yoiu clivk on some of the resources in your cities area. youi now have an entertainer at the top of the city screen. they increase the luxuries your city outputs; he makes people happy. now click on him. he will change. he is now a tax collector. he generates more money, depending on ow much trade you aare outputting. if yoiu click on him again he will be a scientist. go to civilopedia. it should tell yoiu, i think.
i think its funny how whenever i type "you" i type yoiu or youi.

Thanks Stellar, you explained that a bit clearer than I did. TF, I got Civ I on CD a while ago, and that's where the problem is. I usually play Civ II though. I can usually figure out which tec it is on Civ I, but every now and again I get it wrong and lose all my armies.
