How do I save my selected Levels?

Hello everyone.

I have been playing Civ 5 for several months now & am trying to advance my level of play. Right now I play the multiplayer option with my dad & we play at Prince Level.

I host our games & after I invite him to join, we both select "King" at this initial point (same place where we select the nation we will play as). However, if I save the game & rejoin, it seems to always revert back to Prince...HELP???

Should I be selecting our "Level" at a different point? How do I get our selected "Level" to save?

I believe that is just an interface bug and you are still playing at the king level after you load.
