How do I use stacks?

I hear people talking about stacks. How I use a stack, or make one for that matter? Thanks.

if you have more than 1 of the same unit on the same tile then select one of the units press J and then click where you want those units to move. Units that are fortified will not move.

Just in case.. you need the patch for it to work ( http://www.civ3.com ).

Sure wish you could push "j" and then hit the f key and have them all fortify.

That would be nice also. We also need a fortify command that will allow units to be moved in a stack...it would be nice if they re-fortified when they stopped, if they have the movement left ofcourse.

Let me say also that if you are using patch a patch before 1.17f then there is no stack command. If you are using patch 1.17f then the fortified units will move with the stack. If you are using patch 1.21f then the fortified units do not move with the stack.
