Every turn it tells me it's doing an autosave, but every time I try to load it I can't find it in saved games or anywhere else. Can anyone tell me, mechanicly, how you restore an autosave?

As Mulholland said...

It should be a subdirectory of the default Save directory named "auto" in there should be your 10 most recent saves (I think one it maintains as the "newest" start save, ie. 4000 BC)

if you're ingame and want to go back to the autosave, you don't have to mess with explorer. once you're on the 'choose a game to load' screen, the directory structure is on the left. what it shows you as default are the games in the saves/single (player) directory. if you want the autosaves, you have to click directly on the + next to the "single" directory there on the left to expand it. /auto is a subfolder there. it's not like explorer, which shows both the files and the folders, so it wasn't intuitive to me.
