I've been participating in PBEM games, but I don't know how to host one. Could someone give me step-by-step instructions? The manual is too vague.
How do you start a PBEM game?

This is what you do.
1. Start civ 3 PTW
2. Click on multiplayer
3. Select host
4. On the left side of the screen under game type select "play by e-mail". Then you can pick all the settings you want like land mass, climate, etc...
5. On the right side of you screen you can choose your civ. Then click add human player by clicking on the down arrow. Type in the other people's names and click the ok button. Then choose their civ.
6. Click launch.
7. Select your password for administrator and your first turn.
8. Play your turn and pass to next person.

But the only options were simultaneous moves, turn base, and turnless
You need to make sure that you are creating a LOCAL game. I have found too that when you select players it can deselect PBEM when you're not watching.
