How good is the "replay screen" compared to the one in Civ4?

I just read that end replays have been added to the game via patch so that the game doesn't just end with a boring "you won!" screen like it was before.

Just how good is the replay screen and how does it compare with the one in Civ4?

It's quite allright.

The graphs are more elaborate than Civ4 (iirc), but lack a zoom-function.

I don't think the replay itself is quite as good as Civ4's (though there's not much of a difference). It's the graphs that are the difference.

It's functional. The Civ4 one might have been slightly better, but they both did their jobs, so I can't complain about either one.

Last time I looked at the (newly implemented) replay I though it was really bad. And I missed the graphs. Need to look again.

There are graphs, a map, and a status log. The map looks pretty nice. One thing different from 4 is that you don't see status log updates alongside the map.

Map replay doesn't work for me. Pressing play/pause does nothing, so my opinion is that compared to Civ4, the Civ5 replay is rubbish.

The graphs work, but they're a fixed timeline that you can't zoom into closer time periods with, so they're not as good as Civ4.

Overall, replay is lackluster at best, and for me, not fit for purpose.

The map is nice. The notification log is a load of endless junk about city-states trying to wipe each other out. The graphs are good once you've got your head round them and found the right settings

I think it's pretty much the same quality as Civ4, just different... which is fail.

For a new game like Civ V really I was expecting something much more impressive. I always enjoyed watching the replay screen, but watching the Civ V replay screen makes me want to party like it's 1999.

You know... with storage these days... the game should really keep track of where every unit was, every turn, and literally replay the whole game, but let you watch, zoom around the map, move forward/backwards. I really would like to be able to do things like see how the other continent was developing, go to a specific year, use the mouse+wheel to move around and zoom in and out, speed up and slow down, or rewind the playback.
