I was just wondering this since we pronounce it Cal-i-forn-ya(or sometimes as Ca-li-forn-ya) but it is spelled California. If our pronunciation is correct, then in Spanish it would be spelled Califorñia. But if we pronounce it wrong then it is probably spelled as we spelled it. We probably do pronounce it wrong since the Spanish word for Californian is california, with no en-yeh(the n with a tilde).

Whats with your obsession with the ñ? I think that it is spelt the same in Spanish. Not sure of the pronunciation.

It is coõl.:p

The novelty wore off for me in my first year of Spanish. :p

i'm still in first-year Español, so it hasn't worn off yet! :D

Yo tengo dos años de español, so the ñ has lost its excitingness(is that a word?)

In English: I have taken two years in Spanish.

Yo tengo 1/2(can't say it in spanish) años de español.

Why do u take Spanish if you live in Canada(why not take French)? I am taking Spanish over French because there is a large Spanish-speaking population in my state.

but i believe California is spelled the same way in English as it is in Español.

Half en español es media. As in medianoche, una media cuadra, etc.

I took Spanish because I tried taking French, but I didn't like it. I find Spanish to be much better,

oh. at my school it is not uncommon to hear people speaking in a language other then English. usually it is Chinese(Cantonese dialect), Tagalog or Spanish.

Whats Tagalog? I have often heard people speaking in different dialects too at my school. Mainly Chinese/Japanese/Korean.

Tagalog is what they speak in the Phillipenes.

You forgot the accent on más, Perfection. :p

"My name is Perfection and I am a very attractive person..." that's all i got(what's del mundo?).

What he said was:
My name is Perfection, and I am the most attractive person on the planet

del mundo mean 'of the planet'

BTW - Perfection no tiene rázon :p

Me llamo Esteban y soy de Alameda de California de Eastados Unidos.

My name is Steven and I'm from Alameda of California of [the] United States.

No, Perfection, Denise Richards is more attractive then you, but if I was gay I'd say otherwise.:p

Chupa mi verga, cabrón.

Hace cuatro años que mis clases de español.

(family-friendly) Translation -

It's been a while since I've had spanish classes, so cut me some slack. :)

*edit*
Yeah, I guess it is kinda sad that some of the Spanish I remember most vividly is the foul language.

It's pronounced California. Oh, you can't hear me. Nevermind.
