How is your Civ 6 performance?

The recommended specs for a gpu for Civ 6 is nvidia 770 or greater. Does this mean a 770 should be able to run everything max settings at a decent frame rate, assuming all other requirements are met/exceeded?

The reason I ask is because I cannot max everything. In fact I have to turn a lot of stuff off or down. At max everything, the game is sluggish, maybe around 10 fps. Now I don't have a 770 in my machine. I have two 650 ti BOOST OC's in SLI, which is on par with one 770 or better. My unigine valley scores are around 2300, while a single 770 score is around 1900, with a similar setup as my own.

So I was curious if the game just doesn't do SLI very well or if you need a significantly better card than the recommended to max the settings on the game (at 1080 resolution.) If that's the case, what would I need to run it at max settings?

The 770 would do it although you might have to drop AA from max.

No chance in the wide earthly world Civ * (insert any Civ game you wish) is optimised for SLI, you'll have whatever the driver can do (not much - the card was declared end of life in 2014 so no driver updates since) and very little more, I would think. This is likely true of most games, although performance in games built on one of the few engines that have native multi-GPU support would likely be somewhat comparable. You're still going to be stuck with an out-dated DirectX and old drivers though, so I'm afraid even with your additional throughput you're going to run into this issue a lot more now that development is gearing towards DX12.
