I was wandering. How long does it take for you guys to beat, in single player, the opponent.
Lets say 7 opponents, regen victory condition:kill everybody. And can you tell me whats your army's size when u finish, of what units is your army composed of and how many of each? THNX in advance.

Are you talking about a Conquest or Domination victory, or any type of victory?

C3C, Demigod, huge continent map, all civs - needed 45,xx hours and 6-7 months for that game. Finished today. Long live myself, Cleopatra. ;)

Once I played huge world map, all civs, as Carthrage.
The game was so slow it took me 201 hours to beat.

Regent victory? Probably 3 hours. ;) Archer Rush.

But, really, a normal regent game might take me 10-12 hours. The higher the level, the more time it takes (and grows exponentially). I'm playing some giga-map games that are really taking a long time. (not CPU-wise, but micromanagement-wise) - Dutch on a giga-Europe map, and about to take all of Spain!

All of my games, it doesn't matter what victory condition (I don't know why) take around 20 hours to play. This is on a standard map on Emperor, however. My army at the end of a Conquest victory might be 300-400 units.

Most standard map games about 10-15 hours with just enough forces to defend myself and retaliate to aggression. I usually go for cultural victories so I don't need huge armies.

Standard map, emperor level, random everything, it takes me 40-50 hours or one full bottle, depending on your counting method. :D

hehe, Pook. Do you only count alcoholic ones or Coke, too? I am always drinking tons of Coke light, too. :)

Sidenote: Captain Comark Jamaican Rum is too strong for me - one of the flies that were attracted to a 90% Coke, 10% Rum mix just fell to the ground dizzy, I am not lying! Hell, now I really admire those pirates! :(

i just finished a monach game the other day where my final army was over 1110 units, i surprisingly won by domination

Well it depends on the Computer. In Huge maps with a high level and a pentium 3 300 - 400 hours but with a 2 procesor computer with 5000 mb Ram 100-200 hours

For me it's usually (cheap) whiskey mixed with Coke Light. I can't afford the good stuff- My family is what is known in America as a SITCOM- Single Income, Toddler Child, Oppressive Mortgage.

Getting back from being [offtopic], I remember reading a post by Zerksees where he said he took 144 hours on a standard size map. His winning % is a lot better than mine. The difference in time spent is largely micromanagement- do I check every city every turn for potential unhappiness, do I check every AI civ every turn for potential trades? So far my answer is no. If I move up to Deity, I may have to adopt Zerksees approach.

How the hell do you guys play a game for 40+ even 100+ hours! I admire you all!
Im not patient enough, and my computer is pretty crappy so it goes very slow in between turns in the modern age.
My longest game is only about 7 hours!!!! But ive only owned the game for a month.
Maybe one day i can play as long as you guys!
We can only hope..

Sorry for the threadjacking

Do you know where I can find this giant Europe map ?

Thanks ! :)

After I get the SDI built in the late modern era it takes me 3 hours to take over the world.

From start to finish on a demigod game, with all AI opponents and huge map, it took me 67 hours!

Well, for me the problem is, that as I progress further into the game, usually when I reach the point in the game where I have made contact with almost all the other civs, the delay when I end a turn takes longer than in the beginning.
