How many achivements do you have?

i have 86. i have been playing nearly 1900 hours and not a single time i have tried to a get a certain achi, but i guess i was bound to get some of them. i have always thought that achievements and trophys are overrated, since nearly all of them has nothing to do with skill. so they are not even e-penises...

Depends on the achievement. Achievements for building a Floating Garden nia city at a lake is bs, achievements beating high difficulties or games with certain restrictions (Bollywood) are OK.
Btw, has anyone ever lost a game to barbarians ? I don't think I've ever seen a barb directly attack a city. All they do is attack units and pillage improvements.

Maybe if raging barbs are on, they attack, and I've seen it happen during a hotseat game I was playing, on few occasions a swarm of barbs actually attacked the city, though weakened, the city was never lost, but damage was done as I saw the health bar, and I wasn't at war with anybody at all.

barbarians cannot take a city but can attack it until HP is minimum, then they steal some gold and you gain the achievement
Indeed, I consider Mongol Scenario on Deity the most difficult achievement and I kept a save just before winning it.

I've noticed that the "Win a Multiplayer Match" can be achieved via Hotseat.. strangely. I think if Player 1 wins the game you get it.

58 out of 176. I don't have any dlc, so I don't think I can get all of them (very annoying feature if you ask me). I'm not really trying to get them all hard core, but I do try to pick some up here and there (like doing a duel map on fastest speed just to get the duel map achievement).

Some I will never get because I can't beat the higher levels.

The most difficult one for me was the Deity Ancient Wonders scenario, but the last one I got was for buying 1,000 tiles.

Nice, I acutally found otu you can create custom scenarios that stiill unlock achievements, appearently playing with the Scenario's Mods (in MOd) or without any mods doesn't block achievements at all.

So I was able to spawn GDR around the capitals and get the Diety as Manchu and Japan because I got frustrated with those two.

Oh, I guess mods took it off, since nobody responded to it, it wasn't that worthy of discussion anyway, we can talk on PM about ti.

Back to the topic, I'm like 80% something, that's so many achievements

I have 60 - the last one I got was 'Sun Tzu's Art of War' (I'm just coming to the end of my first game as China). I don't try and go for the achievements; I just pick them up as I go along.

I am now lacking 6 achievements.
I am at 61 wins, 71 generals and I made the units a long time ago and reached liek 103 units.
I am exactly 100 away from getting the road achievement,
I am unforutnaely at 1/4 of the Chopped forest achievemtns
I am almost 1/2 of Temples built
And I am more than 1/2 of mines built.

I also have nearly purchased 1000 tiles (3/4).

Btw, anybody know a good way to speed up the Forest achievement?

I think there is a thread on that. The advice is to place a bunch of workers on Forests. Start chopping. Save game, reload after the forests are chopped. Repeat.

Well, the thread in the achievements did list some other methods. If you have additional requirements, then you should state them If we only had a Holocaust cloak and a wheelbarrow!

I think there was another thought of either playing as Hiawatha on a temperate map for the forest start bias so you would have lots of wood to chuck
