Just a quick poll. How many games are you usually actively playing. Do you tend to just play one game, and play it until the end before beginning another, or do you usually have 7 games going at a time, and play each one on and off?

I usually focus on one game, but sometimes I will switch between two or three games. Usually the games are in different eras, so if I feel like playing the modern era or the classical age I can choose between them rather than playing all the way through.

I've played the Civ games since their inception and I have NEVER finished a game. NEVER. I must have played thousands on Civ2 but never got in to Civ3. Loving Civ4 and Warlords though.

I always get so far through a game and think "Oh I could have done that better", or "Oh I should have tried this or that, or placed a city there". I dont like to save games and try again, so I just start another.

I really like playing the games, its not that I get bored with them, but I've just never been satisfied with my gameplay enough to finish them. I also think I really like the early turns too much so always end up wanting to try and recreate the Roman Empire again.

One day I hope to build a spaceship though!

One epic game at a time, and plus I'll probably have a scenario save file in there too.

I play 3 or 4 at a time, many of them I forget about. I'm playing the Alexander scenario, England in the 24 civ map, Egypt in a fractal map.

I usually have five or six going. i'll get so far in a game realize I should stop and think about what I need to do to win, but I still want to play so I start a new game. I find that I play best when I only play 10- 20 turns of a given game at a time, or I get into I want to hurry up and accomplish this objective without paying attention to everything else.

In Warlords, I currently have 1 completed game, 1 unfinished game that I intend on completing, 2 (or 3, I forget now) test games where I was experimenting with something (I had no intention of finishing them) and 2 scenario save games (Genghis and Barbarians).

In Vanilla civ. I have a lot of finished small conquest games and a lot of unfinished big/huge games where I just got bored. It's a real bummer when you start getting too much on top in the mid-late to late game.
