How many tries before you can join a multiplayer game?

How many different games to you have to try and join before you successfully connect to one?

I tried it once, didnt work so i just went back to single player

LAN games have worked fine for me and my wife. I have yet to try an Internet game.

After the patch about 20-25 times is my guess.
What's funny is that when I can join a game and leave it and try joining it again I get the ''connecting to peer'' message even so I had no troubles joining it in the first try!?
