How fast are you when you feel like crushing the AI on these settings:

Difficulty: Impossible
Galaxy Size: Huge
Galaxy Age: Average
Players: 8
Tech Level: Pre Warp
Tactical Combat, Random Events, Antarans Attack

I did a 150 turn conquest victory with this one:

well, here you go:

I tend to think that strategy makes more of an impact than wormholes do.
Or the convenient placement of slave planets.

A wormhole very close to your start and ending next to the HW of one of the races means they are dead , before they can do anything. If this is a race that is quite far away from you, that saves a lot of turns.

honestly guys: 150 is good, ain't it? :)

Don't know as I do not recall ever doing a speed run on a huge map. That is a bit more work than I like as tele runs are not fun for me.

Edit:
I just realized you were doing a PreWarp game. That is going make the game that much less fun. You need what 4 tech breakthroughs just be be able to fly. A lot of time just clicking end, depending upon the luck of the breakthroughs.

Even a super good run of rng means turn 7 to build a cruiser and at max prod it will be 36 more turns to finish (minus pop growth to increase prod). A worse case would be 12-13 turns of research and then a 36 turn cruiser at then zero research.

Here is a huge map with several wormholes that would allow one to get to other races much sooner.

I never play these kinds of games to see how fast I can win the game. Feels too much like a console game, then, and I really hate the game play of console games.

Scraching my head as I read that post and the title of the thread? Anyway the horse is already dead, so I will stop beating it.

With right race it should be around 100 turns at huge prewarp 7 AI even without any wormholes at map. In case you finishing later than 110 turns it means you doing something non-optimal. Basic elerians at such conditions can win at t160 or so, or even at 150 from good start (well, for elerian example its with wormholes, obviously).
