How much else do you think they'll fix in BNW?

It's not a 'fix', but I would love to see a "continue (most recent) game"-button at the highest start menu level.

(By the way: I don't like the word 'fix' anyway, because mostly it is used on things that aren't 'broken' at all but could be altered just to optimize the game.)

At the risk of sounding boring, the only thing I really want to see improved is multiplayer. I will buy the expansion only once I see evidence that MP has received at least a little attention. I just hope it doesn't mean I will not buy the expansion, well, at all. I'm cautiously optimistic, but unlike G&K, I am not automatically buying BNW (no matter how awesome it turns out to be...).

Eventually, I would be happy to see viable multiplayer modding as well, although I'm willing to wait a bit longer for that, and my purchase doesn't ride on it.

As for other changes - it's mostly minor things. Canals would be great. More uses for Admirals would be welcome as well (I wouldn't mind giving them the ability to create Canals, actually). Some rebalancing of land units might help. All in all, however, I am satisfied with Civ as is.
It might not count as a fix, but they have said that there has been specific work on MP, with new MP modes (including Pitboss).

I am well aware of that - in fact, I eagerly anticipate the results - but for now, I'm of a "I'll believe it when I see it" mind. I'm not saying MP will not be improved, but it's pretty bad right now, so I have my doubts about what it will be after they have worked on it.

more notification :
- pop in large city
- our religion converted to foreign city
- others

of course there are option to shut it down

I hope they fix so that AIs can contact human players in multiplayer, as well as being able to play custom maps, which I think have already been confirmed...?

Other than that; Fix Germany! They should have a bonus for Great People, Engineering and/or science combined with some sort of war bonus.
If Assyria can combine science with war...? Why cant Germany combine engineering with war? Or Great People?

Fortunately, from what Dennis Shirk was saying, you'll be able to tell that directly without getting BNW - as the MP fixes are apparently being patched into Vanilla and G&K.

Any idea where he said that? I am very interested in probable upcoming MP fixes :)

Faster game and save loading.

Hitting F4 for the Diplomacy screen, double-clicking the leader you want to speak to, then having that leader pop up BEHIND the Diplomacy screen.

I second the "Continue Game" suggestion.

- Better combat AI (I'm looking at you, Mr. 'lol lets go swimmin!1' Napoleon)...
- A way to disable leader screen graphics and set Strategic View as default. My comp can't handle all the needless fluff Sid, tell your interns to step on it
-Make sure the AI can use all the new features properly (I'm not holding my breath... I do hope it isn't like in BtS, where corporations were an 'I win' button for the human basically)
-Incorporation of several 'utility' mods into the base game (InfoAddict etc)
-Revamp Germany, India, maybe some other civs. I'd love to rp nazis as the Germans with the new Autocracy tree, but I can't stand the lackluster UA

If even one of these is done, I'll be a happy camper (pun with the last entry NOT intended... Even I am not *that* twisted! ;)).

(also, why can't the carrier carry bombers and fighters but only GW bombers and fighters? Makes no sense).

Uh? Last time I checked carriers can carry bombers just fine. The only aircrafts that can't rebase on carriers are Stealth bombers.

From a realistic pov bombers on carriers makes absolutely no sense, but there's the fact that in Civ V you can't move your aircrafts on allied cities (in Alpha Centauri you could) and you can't build airbases. I guess they allowed bombers to be able to go on carriers for that reason, but then I wonder why not Stealth bombers.

In some maps that becomes a huge liability.

I really think they should add airbases as an improvement that workers can build.

I second this. If I get a Skype call in the middle of a Civ game I always end up having to explain what all the strange background noises (Moo! Surf!) are.

If you right click on speaker and go into into the sound mixer you can mute Civ V, although this being automatic would be a nice feature.

In the Civil War playthrough, Ed or Dennis said workers won't wake up when there's a barb 3-4 tiles away, which is nice.

I'm hoping that Multiplayer will recieve significant "change" (along with the upgrade) i.e better human-to-human diplomacy (maybe ability to denounce fellow human players), fix the "Can't trade with anybody else if Player 1 initiated a trade deal) etc.

I also hope they fix little things such as lack of "Civ X has been conquered/City State X has been conquered) that has been missing since Pre-G&K patch

I also hope they'll fix music again, it loops and plays the same song over and over during war time.

Notifications regarding Pantheons, Religions, Era entrances etc., City State allegiance in Hotseat are missing.

Add pretty much stuff from Info Addict and add the ability to access Diplomacy during Diplomatic meetings (I foolishly forgot to check if Alexander had any enemies that i had a DoF with, he had)

In a couple of different 2K Twitch.tv live streams. One a bit after PAX, where they played the same demo as PAX and answered some questions, and then again in the recent Civil War stream. Both should be available archived on twitch.tv. I'm not sure which details were in which Q&A.

Really? Because I remember trying once to put my bombers on carriers and it didn't work on G&K. I had to transport them across the ocean to a puppeted city to upgrade them. Maybe just a bug?

I'm not sure about bombers, but all three generations of fighters can definitely be stationed on carriers.

I agree; I don't think the problem is the UA, the lower unit maintenance is a nice feature; it is the two UUs. Get rid of one, either one, and replace it with a workshop that gives a science boost.

One of the interesting changes that was mentioned in the 2K interview with MadDjinn was that the diplomacy gold exploit has been removed. Will be interesting to see what the flow on effects of that are.

Bump for great justice with the one fix I forgot: limitless civilian stacking. Please stop my workers and GGs stumbling over each other; I am the leader of a great empire, not some two-bit traffic police.

Yes, what the heck is the point of not being able to do that anyway. And religious people too, mid-late-game I can't even physically get my prophets to most city-states.

Being able to defend against unwanted religious intrusion is, in my opinion, a good thing. The AI actively defending against prophets' intrusion was in some way a pleasant surprise when I first found out. Quite clever really :) City states will typically keep moving around their units, so there will be a way in for the patient prophet.

+1 for this one. And enable the same rules within a team as within 1 civ, while we are at it. So frustrating that in a cooperative MP team I am unable to defend a fellow friend's worker or build a road / move prophets through tiles where his defensive units are stationed...
