How No Quitters civ mp group has changed my game!!!

First and foremost I would like to thank the creators of No Quitters. I have been a long time civ-fan. Since the dawn of civ I started playing mp games in June/2011 but was quickly annoyed by the lack of complete games. In first 4 months of playing never did a game make it past industrial era! I found a civ players league and thought things were looking up. Quickly I realized I was wrong, playstyle was too war based for me and i found it hard to find games because of my lack of playtime in the group. Then there was NQ!! The play style is very different there and for the better imo. Games are more diplomatically bassed and you get to see the whole tech tree from time to time Also I found people to be very friendly and eager to play with a "noob". Nobody was worried about hurting there "ranking" playing a teamer with me. Now I know this style of game dosnt suite all players I just want people to know there is more to playing civ than war from the start. Give it a try you may like it Just remember NO QUITTING and youll fit in just fine. In closing I hope others come to NQ and try a different style of civ play!

:BTW new expansion pack is going to make NQ games that much more exciting and challenging.

Oh yes, I keep forgetting about joining this league. I had a friend invite me to it and have been in the lobby for it as a guest sometimes but haven't found someone to make me a member of it yet. Plus I have to find a friend of mine in the league every time I want to rejoin the lobby since I don't know how/havent bothered to become a member of it.

I too would like to say that I have enjoyed the game a whole lot more since finding No Quitters Group. I have found it to be the best place for me to find friendly, competitive games.

I would like to clear up something though, we are not a League, and we do not have a ranking system. We are just a Group of Civ players that dont like quitters! Our games are much like Public games, except for the fact the games get finished without people quitting. Its Great!!

Another great thing about the NQ group is that there are very many different playing styles, you never know what to expect. It maybe war at turn 5 or you might not ever war. The only thing I have noticed for sure ( if you know of different let me know) is if you war to long in NQ games, and neglect your science and cities, you will be crushed later in the game. You seem to have to find a balance, this seems to me to be different than in purely competitive games, where you are always at war. This point can be argued of course. I feel like alot of the games features are left out with constant war.

I think that the Gods and Kings expansion will add a whole lot more to the game, especially the way we play at NQ. I am very curious to find out how this is going to be.

So, if your looking for a good game, with a great group, and your willing to not quit until you lose your Capital City, come by and play a game and see for yourself

Hi Carls - Hi Kat !!

You guys have hit it spot on !
NQ is so much fun because the guys in the group are friendly - which makes playing civ mp more like a school for civ as opposed to a cut throat 'I'm the best' play style of only war based playing styles.
And in NQ - the winner is no big deal - but rather the enjoyment of playing the game for hours on end with some very cool people from around the world - and you get to learn how to better your game to the level of some really top players in the group.
