How does the game run? I've got a Athelon 64 duel core X2 5000+ processor (2.6 GB) with 2GB of RAM with an NVIDIA 8500 GT graphics card. Do you think I would have any problems running the game?

I'd love to get the game and try it but I don't want to have to go through the hastle of having to return it to the store if it doesn't work on my machine. Anyone here able to play it with similar or lesser hardware specifications without any lag or any problems?

I have a near identical rig, except I have 3 gigs of ram and an nvidia 8600m gt (Dell XPS laptop). Like most others, the game runs very smoothly for me in the early game and then the wait in between turns grows as the game goes on. I never have any problems except for slow turn times. From what I gather, this is more a problem with the game than my actual computer. I do however think that this is a pretty memory (as apposed to graphics card) hungry game, and I would be wary of your ram capacity even though it meets the min requirements of the game. Maybe someone out there with 2 gigs of ram could elaborate a bit further. On the bright side, I believe ram is relatively cheap / easy to upgrade, even in laptops.

I have pretty much the same with 2 GB RAM, although I have a 1 GB (ATI) graphic card. I run XP, so I use DX9, which I think it is easier than DX10/11. I have most settings on low (a couple of them are higher). The game runs fairly smoothly all the way. Sure I can probably not run a huge map game, but being on the lower end of the req. I knew that when I bought the game. I tested the game before buying (just to be sure).

As said above, memory is fairly cheap, so that will help a lot.

I have a Dell computer that I modified a bit. It has a E7300 dual core CPU which I overclocked to 3.3 GHz (had to purchase and replace the motherboard first)... I also purchased a used HD 4870 graphics card that has 1 GB of memory. My computer has 4 GB of RAM and can run the game just fine. I easily max out the graphics and get 30-40 frames depending how far zoomed out I am. Turn times are about 7-10 seconds during the later game.
