How to deal with the burnouts

quote]Yes, pondering those will certainly suck the enthusiasm out of you! [/quote]My point exactly Willem. Although I do find Zouave's posts very funny most of the times.....well, until I read it for the 5th time. Ok, enough talking about Zouave...he will start thinking we don't like him.

I've noticed the past several months that the die hard critics have been spouting off less and less frequently, both here and at Apolyton. Either they've given up on trying to gain an audience, or Firaxis' attempts at actually responding to the players has left them with no further ammunition.

Back in the days of long AI turns (1.16 path for sure) you could go cook dinner, eat it, clean up and then go to the bathroom long before the AI was done moving. This helped deal with this.

Now, just enough time for the bathroom. I'd say just stop for an hour or so and then come back.
Maybe, just maybe, your body is trying to tell you something ;)
You need to turn off animations, I only need to wait a couple of seconds between turns up to maybe 1 minute. I have even turned off "Show Worker Movement".

Speaking of burnouts.... I'm now dreading the day nukes become available. The way my current game is going we'll have nuclear winter from 6 nations lobbing ICBMs at each other. There are no fewer than 12 wars going on between 6 nations. They are at war with two nations each. That will be a true burn out... All the leaders need to be given massive doses of Thorozine or Halaperodol.

Fatigue has hit again...maybe it is just the Egyptian civ...I have never enjoyed playing the Egyptians. Or maybe it reading all of Zouave's posts. ;)

Maybe it was just the ENNUI of reading another of your gratuitous cheap shots. ;) :D
