Get some other civ to attack it when it is down to '1'!!

Yes, there should be a way to disband a useless city. You may be able to starve it out while building a settler. That didn't seem to work in Civ II; it might in Civ III.

Starve the City down to 2 pop then make sure its not growing so it stays on 2 pop, then build a settler.

Yeah, but if it happened to be on a tile that gave the base square more than 4 food, that city would be there to stay. I don't know if that can happen, though.

Another reason to never build over a food bonus square. Each one of those is a rushing city under despotism :goodjob: .

If you really want to raze the city, give it to another civ and then conquer and raze it.

Well why starve the city? Just build settlers all the time, get loads of gold so you can buy them, you can then use the B key when that settler is on another city to make the people live in that city. So you can make your small cities big and get rid of one city att the same time.

When the last settler is built (i.e when the city population is down to 2, when you get the question chose abandon the city...and you get one more settler....dont starve ppl when you can use them.)
