Hello,

Does anybody know how to disable avatars of units stationed in a city?

(I would prefer to see buildings, not huge units in my cities)

That is SO Civ3! ;)

Ctrl-B (Bare map) will cause ALL units to disappear, so use it sparingly. It's good to better see the terrain (e.g., river courses, resources).

:)

I know about Ctrl-B. Actually the reason why I asked the question was because it was is annoying to use it often.

I want to get rid of avatars in cities, not anywhere else. It would be nice to see how the cities look while playing normally. (Lazy smilie)

Oh, and in case it matters I am using Variets Delectat mod.

Thanks for a reply anyway. Next time I´ll be more careful with wording.

Zoom in all the way and the unit disappears, plus, you can actually see your buildings ;)

I wouldn't mind if the units in cities were hidden from view, or possibly downsized a little. Perhaps it's just me, but cities with certain types of units in them, most notably age of sail ships or war elephants, are next to impossible to select without clicking on the unit, or double clicking all the way into the city screen.
