With Zappara's mod that allows the game to generate the two new larger map sizes, is it at all possible to load these sizes into WorldBuilder and edit them without WorldBuilder doing an automatic re-size to the largest default sizes that came with them game? Much like alot of you that were using RoM and AND, the largest default sizes to me seem so small and unrealistic, but I really need to edit the gigantic maps to make a real world map (realism junky here). If anyone knows of how to do this, please respond!

One way is to use the mapscript in the game, go to the save menu and save map instead of the game. Then, load that up in WorldBuilder, and never, ever touch the sizing stuff. The problems you'll come across is that most people do not have a computer capable of running anything larger than a Huge map.

pathfinding AI will repeatedly stand up and crouch on your computer if you play a gigantic map

what sizes are gigantic?

worldbuilder has a max size it will load. biggest i got was 185x176 but i wouldnt be surprised if that can be pushed a few more hexes. for example when i tried a 195x186 worldbuilder immediately stopped loading with a warning box 'map too big', so the limit has to be somewhere between those two sets of numbers.

the 185x176 crashed my game btw when loading, although might of been memory issue on my end

182x96 is the max that I was able to start ingame without crash (yep, I like laaaarge map)

Hav'nt tryed to change the height to much, so I don't know if it's a maximum total number of hexes issue, or just hardcoded width and height.

I've been working on WorldBuilder and one of the things I've changed is the maximum world size. I've now got it set at 256x128. It's over here.
