How to get a century golden age

I don't find using 1 GA in the classical age to be of much help, unless I was building some important wonders like the GLH, pyramids, parthenon, etc. I think burning 4 or 5 GAs in a row around the renaissance era would be a way to win the game.

On the other hand, the proportional benefit of an early GA can be greater than a later one

In general this is not accurate. The golden each is much more useful in mid game than in early game, the way to think about it is that the more cities you have the more you will benefit from the golden age, in early game you usually have few cities, in late game you may get many cities but if you have many cities in the late game then the game will be won anyway and a golden age will not be critical or necessary. So best is in the mid game where you have mature empire with decent number of cities, but the win is not guaranteed yet in this situation the golden age will be the most useful and combo golden ages can be a turn over point that grants the win to you.

I don't know about *consecutive*, but I managed to get 8 GAs in a game once. Taj Mahal, Coliseum quest +SoZ, and 6 triggered by GPs. I was playing a philosophical leader, and I decided on a whim to go for as many GAs as possible.

And yes, I had the Mausoluem.

Four consequetive GA's on normal with the Mausoleum is my record. This was done without the musket quest.

I would think the best way to maximise GP production would be to not make any until you were ready to start the cycle. Then you would make them faster and maybe hit a fifth GA. Merc and the French UB would help. Then about this time is when you can earn certain GP from researching techs first. Six or 7 GAs might be doable. Philosophical might give another.
