The DDS exporter for Photoshop doesn't like layers and transparency besides a single alpha channel. Flatten your image, make sure there is only one alpha channel and it should work.
I figured that this thread was the most appropriate one to ask my question. I love making buttons; it's fun and one of the best parts about modding, I think. I am having a problem with the results though. I get artifacts and patches of colour bleeding. It seems that any part of a picture that is only one colour will have bleeding affects in square shapes most noticeable on the border with another colour.
I got some advice on a thread where I posted some custom unit textures and was told to work in a larger image size first and scale down at the end. That's what I do. I was also told about the 5.6.5 or the 1.5.5.5 settings. Do they make a difference or should I stick with the explicit alpha setting? Any thoughts or advice? Thanks.
Haha, I've started working on my old Fractured States mod and I'm working on some buttons and the one I made came out all blurry & small so I decided to search the forum to see if anyone wrote a guide about how to fix it. I was surprised to learn that I wrote a guide, hahah. Thanks past me!
