How to modify the religions - an in depth guide

i have a very ....hmm, naive problem perhaps - how to make religion already FOUNDED in just scenario file, not in mod, so when some philosophy researched - taoism will not be founded and there wouldnt be any holy cities for taoism etc

is there some RELIGION=NO_TAOISM(CHRISTIANITY) option line for this...i cant find it ;(

i just have to add techs with them for all civs to avoid the problem with new religion founding

please answer, good people!
 
I have created the button for a religion I created. The button will appear in the civilopaedia, on the religion adviser panel, and on the diplomatic screen to show that a leader is a certain religion. However, the button will not appear above the name of a city or next to the name of a leader in the little black box that shows how many points each civilization has.

Can anyone help me?

You'll have to add religion icons to Gamefont.tga and gamefont_75.tga files and then they'll show on those spots too.

Ok, I found the files but what exactly do you mean by adding the religion icons to it? do you mean that I can just place the image right into the .tga files and it will work in the game?

You'll see that there's line(s) of icons for religions and corporations. Once you've added new religion to the game, you'll have to edit gamefont file by moving all the corporation icons by 2 slots and then place new religious icons to now empty slots between religions and corporations - they must be in specific order (same order as in xml file) because the game reads and adds them to religions that way.

I see you noticed the thread how to edit those gamefont files. Check also how to fix your broken gamefont.tga as you'll most likely run into crashes during loading after you've edited gamefonts. That thread helps to solve those possible crash issues.

It's also good to take a look at other mods' gamefont files as many mods have added new religions.

I need the GameFont_75.tga pictures like the one on the first page if I am to edit that file and fully change 3 of the religions (I have done the GameFont.tga using the method described by Padweman) so anychance anybody? (needs to be scaled) The J?
 
ok, you know he posted the picture of the GameFont file.... I need one similar for the GameFont_75 file so that I can finish editing them and complete some more religions. I used the method that padweman used (putting the picture as a background layer and drawing over it) so it needs to be scaled like the first picture
 
Ah, okay...:think: yeah, there's no _75 around, so you can only make it yourself.
Just resizing the image will not work.
Instead i suggest cutting out the new symbols ouf this gamefont, resize it, and put it into a normal _75.tga.
That's a bit work, but that's normal for the gamefonts.
 
I can do that fine with the symbols but I need you to take a screenshot of the pink lines in the 75file and put them here not resize the one already posted (already tried that ;))
 
to replace the art for 3 religions to make them Celtic, Greek and Roman
 
I can't see the pink lines... If I want to use the religious icons from rise of rome mod for warlords then I need ideally need the pink lines if not then it will take alot longer!!!
