How to set saves to 100 in civ 3 conquests with vista?

I might also add that I'm using a version of civ3 complete that I bought and downloaded if that makes any difference.

I've tried all the basics. I know to go the conquests ini file and set max auto saves to 100. But I can't find an ini file anywhere under anything in the atari folder. I read in another thread a member suggesting that the ini file for vista users was in a folder called compatibility. I ran a search for it in the atari folder and it turned up nothing, so I figured I may as well adjust my question accordingly and actually ask xD

Any heroic suggestions?

I resolved my own issue.

I found the compatibility file, and within the file I needed was just simply called conquests. But I didn't have a max autosaves options so I created my own as

Max Autosaves= 100

Worked fine
