how to use a MOD?

    can someone tell me how to use a mod for civ4? i dnt knw how. I assumed i jsut put the mod in the MOD folder. I tried that with the carthigan mod but it says XML error when i loaded it. then when i went to the game menu, i dnt knw where to find it. help!

    You have to make sure you have the right type of mod for the right type of game...

    In other words, if you're playing BtS, you need a BtS Mod... if you're playing Vanilla Civ4, you need a Vanilla Civ4 Mod... then you need to make sure you put the mod in the RIGHT "Mod" directory... Civ4, Warlords and Beyond the Sword each have their own "Mod" directory.

    My own mod for instance, is a BtS mod, and it needs to go in the Beyond the Sword/Mods folder. After that, start the game, go in "Advanced" mode and select "load mod".
