How to view Religion movies separately from game?

Since the following question is software-related, I believe it fits this forum.

I already have a video player that enables me to view outside the game the Wonder movies, whose file extension is ".bik." But the Religion-founding movies have a different extension, ".nif." Does anyone know of software that would enable me to view those movies outside the game?

NIF relates to Gamebryo and is actually a image file rather than a movie file. I think somekind of specialized 3D dev software will be needed to open it, as it more common for storing textures for 3D models.
